Use QuarterDeck's LOADHI program and NET4 rather than XMSNET4; that way you only have one EMS manager. I use QEMM with LOADHI, and have COUNTRY.SYS, FILES, OX.SYS, SHARE, SMARTDRV, RAMDRIVE, IPX, NET4 and KEY102 in EMS memory. That gives me 560K of memory *from inside Windows 3*, and well over 580 outside it, using 4DOS. > The one possibility I might have to turn to is 4DOS, but this is on > a fairly large network environment and would rather find a simpler > solution. I consider replacing COMMAND.COM with 4DOS to be an essential compatible upgrade, rather than a difficult solution. :-) mathew. -- Internet: mathew@mantis.co.uk / mathew%mantis.co.uk@ukc.ac.uk UUCP: mathew@mantis.UUCP / ...!mcsun!ukc!ibmpcug!mantis!mathew If you know anything significant about ISDN, please mail me...
