I have a Zenith 386 computer that is running MS-DOS version 4.01 and am trying to attach to an existing network that is running Advanced Netware 2.15a. This particular machine, when the login script is run, gives an error of Wrong Netware Shell. I am using a packet driver and it loads IPX and NET4 without fail. The machine does attach to the file server but not all the search drives get mapped. It seems that just one network drive will not at all either as a network drive, or as a search drive. Any ideas would be appreciated. Patrick Stevens, Network Specialist, University of Maine

What IPX and NET4 shell version are you running? -- ****************************************************************************** Ken Haynes, Certified Netware Engineer Technical Support Product Mgr. 900 Support

Some people run out of environment space when adding a lot of environment variables, and/or search drives to the path. Novell adds search drives to the path, so if your environment is not expanded, you may not get all of them. Add the following line to the CONFIG.SYS file. SHELL=C:\COMMAND.COM /P /E:1024 This syntax assumes the command processor is at c:\ of course. -- ****************************************************************************** Ken Haynes, Certified Netware Engineer Technical Support Product Mgr. 900 Support
