[comp.sys.novell] 8.x packet driver no go on WD8013 ELite

Help..

Today I unpacked the latest and greatest version 8.x of the packet drivers for
the WD8003e series of boards, and replaced the version 7.x that I was ruinning.
EVerything went fine until I tried to use it. First thing I noticed was that it
was aware the card was 16-bit, great I thought, but there the happiness ends.
The damn thing don't work. ipx loads fine, but xmsnet4.exe cant find a file
server and times out (after a short wait or 2-3 secs). NCSA Telnet cant get
anything (Error getting RARP request back) and neither does WNQVTNET (packet
error #8?). Has anybody else seen this?

The packet drive was from clarkson.... and was in pktd8_0s.zip

Until then I'm struggling along on 7.x

Are you using the -n switch? If so, forget 8.x -- the code that does
Novell802.3/Novell8137 faking is broken. I'll fix it in the 9.x release,
which I will get out as soon as I can.
