Some questions about LANsmart, that we might use to realize a couple of simple networks that do not need the power of Novell, but have more than a dozen nodes. The software has a good price and the hardware is compatible to Novell. So when we extend the network we can easily change to NetWare or, with some new modules, we can even connect it to NetWare! Anyway, one thing about the hardware bugs me: I was told, LANsmart only runs on D-Link adapters and those are even more expensive than Novell cards (at least here in Switzerland. I would be happy getting answer to the following questions: 1. Anybody has experience with LANsmart? 2. Where do I get D-Link adaptors for a decent price? 3. Is there another lowprice adaptor that is compatible with LANsmart? 4. Is the card from above question compatible with Novell? 5. Is there a newsgroup where LANsmart is discussed ???
