I am trying to use a HP Laserjet II as a Postscript and a PCL printer at the same time. This printer has a Adobe Postscripe emulation cartridge and 2.5MB memory. What I am trying to do is : The users use the CAPTURE command to redirect printing to the print queue which the LaserJet is connected to (The printer is connected to a PC which runs HotPrint). The users want to be able to print both PCL and Postscript on the printer without having to switch the printer manually between PCL and Postscript. My idea was to have two printjobs, one for PCL printing (I already have that) which would be connected to lpt3 and a printjob for Postscript printing which would be connected to lpt2. The printer would usually be in PCL mode. I tried to create a new printjob, Postscript, which would send the 'Switch to Postscript' escape sequence BEFORE printing and a 'Switch to PCL' postscript command AFTER printing. The problem: How do you configure the AFTER part in PRINTDEF? Is it possible ? I hope someone can help me out in this. Steintor -- Steinthor Bjarnason Internet: stb@isbank.is Islandsbanki h.f.
