Hello. I have three questions to ask those of great experience! 1. Does anyone have any experience with the Wangtek 6130 FS DAT tape drive? We are considering using it for a backup system for one of our Novell (2.15c) networks and would like to have some information on its reliablity. We will be using the drive daily, and want to know about its durability. 2. Does anyone have any experience with PS/2's and windows (v.2 and 3) running under Novell 2.15C? We are looking at expanding one of our networks to include 10 PS/2 Model 70's which are all running one or the other version of windows. No, they are not all running the same version. We would not want to be homogenous! 3. Finally, I have a problem with my track 0 on a Seagate ESDI drive. We are running Novell 2.15c. We had the file server in an ethernet network and loaded the network operating system. The boot track got corrupted, so we reran compsurf, but just for track 0, and the problem went away. i.e we were able to load the boot track again through netgen and boot from the hard drive. Then we changed to our usual environment which is a sytek network. When we reloaded the operating system, again the boot track was corrupted. We could not boot from the hard drive, but could boot from floppy (just like in the ethernet environment). So we tried compsurfing again, but this time it did not fix our problem. My question: how do I fix the boot track. This is a new drive . I was told to use vrepair, but reading the manual, I don't see that vrepair will access the boot track (track 0). Am I wrong? Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!! Please send all replies to: peggyl@unssun.nevada.edu Peggy Lakey Technical Consultant University of Nevada System Computing Services
