I just upgraded to Netware 2.2 from 2.15C and I am having a problem with memory caching. I have 8 megs of RAM on a 386/25. I am only getting 85-89% of requests cached. I looked in cache info and found that all of the read requests are successful but no write requests to cache are successful. Under 2.15C I had almost 99% caching at all times. The manuals do not state how to increase or decrease cache buffers. My cache buffers are currently set at 1268. I know decreasing them to 800 will help, but I don't know how. The manuals seem to equate cache buffers with communication buffers, but these have got to be two different things. I have plenty of free memory in Dgroup (9 FSPs) and in the 4 memory allocation areas shown in Fconsole. The only thing I changed during the upgrade was that I raised the number of open files from 250 to 300 and the number of communication buffers from 250 to 300. Could this have caused this problem?
