We've just setup a brand new server here (HP i486, Netware 286, v2.15C), and hooked an optical disk drive onto a SCSI host adapter. (Hammer600, IN-2000) Works fine :-) Now, the trick is that the optical disk is physically removable, but was identified as 'fixed' by the generation program. So the only way of changing disks, is via the 'Misc. Maintenance - Remove disk' menu. But that obliges us to bring the server down each time. :-( Is it possible to configure a disk as 'removable' even though it was recognised as 'fixed' ? We could then use the console commands 'mount/ dismount' to change sides or disks. Thanks for any advice, hints and/or solutions. :david ================ David C.
