We may have the need to backup some large (hundreds of megabytes) files on a remote Novell network and bring the backup copy here, where we don't use Novell networking. - Is there a description of the format written by LARCHIVE/NARCHIVE somewhere? - Failing that, is the format simple (files stuck together with some header information) or complex (data compression or worse)? Since having to read Brand X backups on Brand Y systems is a fairly common problem, I'm hoping someone has looked into this before for Novell backups. I have zero Novell documentation on hand but could probably scare up specific manuals if I knew what to ask for. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
