The DOS 5 beta from 11/90 came with a beta NET5.COM . This NET5.COM did not support the handy "PS=server" preferred server syntax. The DOS 5 final from 4/91 did not even have a NET5 . 1) Where can we get a new NET5 with "PS=server" fixed ? MS doesn't know. Also, I read about an "xmsnet3.com" in LAN Technology magazine , 5/91, page 10, that was described as "... a version of the NetWare workstation shell that loads into extended memory ... " 2) Is there an xmsnet5.com ? Will it work with MS 5 HIGHMEM.SYS ? Is it PD or does it come from Novell ? Does it *have* to run with EMM386.SYS (thus probably conflicting with Deskview and other protected mode managers ) -or- can it simply load into the high 64K on a 80286+ ? -- Greg Presedo-Floyd gregpf@momenta.com 415-969-3876 Mt View, CA 94043 "America`s energy policy: Produce more oil!"
