Hello, We're currently looking at implementing some sort of file server for a number of Ethernet attached PCs. Most of these PCs are currently running FTP Software's PC/TCP Plus. So one alternative is just to use the InterDrive NFS client and one of our many Unix hosts as the file server. However, there are some people who think we should move toward a Novell Netware solution. One reason for this is that they claim Netware gives you a software distribution or checkout mechanism in which you can license so many copies of a DOS application, put it on the server, and he'll keep track of how many have been "checked out". I guess at this point I'm just looking for some more information on how this works under Novell, and whether anyone has implemented something similar on top of NFS. Any input and/or opinions on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Keith Dickey kdickey@cmsa.gmr.com General Motors Research Laboratories
