This is probably a trivial question. Here's the situation: -We don't use Novell, so no chance to RTFM. I need to install a TTI CTS-4 DAT drive on a remote Novell network for a special project. -The remote network uses Netware 2.15 Rev C. -The TTI software install doc (such as it is) says: It is important to note that NBACKUP may work properly only if you use the copies supplied on the distribution diskette. The following files should reside in the same directory as TTI.EXE and DIBI$DRV.DAT: NBACKUP.COM NBACKUP.EXE NBACKUP.OVL NBACKUP.HLP SELDIBI.OVL SELDIBI.HLP Problems: 1. The TTI distribution disk contains only the files TTI.EXE, TTICFG.EXE, README.TTI, CONFIG.TTI, and DIBI$DRV.DAT. I called TTI to ask where NBACKUP.* and SELDIBI.* were to be found. The tech guy said they should be in a Netware 2.15 upgrade, and if we didn't have them, I could get them off Netwire. 2. I checked with the Novell net operator, who couldn't locate NBACKUP.* or SELDIBI.*; they use LARCHIVE/NARCHIVE for backups. 3. I checked Compuserve...after searching various archives for an hour, I found a large (~400K) zip file said to contain NBACKUP and related stuff, but it was dated Sept 1989. The only other thing I could find (searching for NBACKUP, DIBI, SELDIBI) was a 3rd party upload that appears to be identical to the TTI distribution disk. Question: What is going on here? Should Netware 2.15c include NBACKUP.* and SELDIBI.*? If not, where can I get them from? I didn't download the nbackup file from compuserve because it was posted a year before this Novell network was installed. If anyone could shed some light on all of this, I would appreciate it greatly.
