Hello! I've got a very special Problem and don't see any Solution. We have a Netware 3.11 LAN with token-ring connected IBM Ps/2's. We plan to connect to the universitie's Ethernet-Backbone running TCP/IP (and nothing else!). There we want to use Packet-Driver- based software like (e.g.) FTP's PC/TCP or the Charon E-Mail-Gateway. To get there we want to use NW3.11's IP-routing feature, but there is no money left to buye expensive software like LAN Workplace For DOS. So I need a coexisting solution for Packet-Driver-Interface and NW3.11 based on IBM-token-Ring-NIC's. I downloaded drivers.zip from the Clarkson University and the BYU-Package, but I don't get it run, neither with the TOKEN-RING nor with the TOKEN-RING_SNAP frame type. It is said in the driver's description, that it only supports IP (??). I downloaded ODIPKT from Harvard as well, but they claim to support Ethernet-Frame-Types only. Solutions like the PKTIPX-Driver are out of discussion, for there is no additional PC available for routing purposes. So, does anybody know a possible solution? Is there a thing like ODIPKT supporting Token Ring? Why does the BYU-Package not work with the IBMTOKEN Packet-Driver? Some weeks ago someone in this newsgroup mentioned this problem to be trivial, but he didn't tell the solution. Am I sitting on top of it ?? 8-). thank's in advance Christoph Weber-Fahr P.S.
