Remember, you read it first on USENET. NetWare 3.11 (and probably 3.x versions) has an undocumented internal debugger that could be useful in tracking down errors, abend messages, diagnostics, etc. To get there: ALT-SHIFT-SHIFT-ESC all at the same time. The debugger prompt is #. There's several help screens - #H, #.H, #HE, #HB; all the commands are fully explained. For example, under #.h is .A, which is "display the abend or break reason". To get back: I use a 'g' which is a 'go' at current address, and returns to where the system console left off. Caution: When in debugger login seems disabled. There may be other side-effects on users so use care. Does not work under RCONSOLE. alan -- Alan Strassberg alan@oetl1.scf.lmsc.lockheed.com (408) 425-6139 alan@oetl.UUCP
