I have a very simple but hard to solve problem with netware 3.10 on a model 80 server. Although I installed a number of commands in the system login script, these commands are not executed when I log onto this server. The commands are being executed, however, when I log on for a second time without logging out. Did anyone else experience this problem? Thanks in advance. *=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Name: Emile van der Donk | Antoni van Leeuwenhoek huis Internet: VANDERDONK@NKI.NL | 121 Plesmanlaan Phone: +31-20-6860639 | 1066 CX Amsterdam FAX: +31-20-6172625 | The Netherlands

The correct version for 3.1 is: LOGIN.EXE size: 58141 date: 6/9/89 make sure you do not have any old versions laying around (esp. \login) mike ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael L. This sounds suspiciously like a familiar problem over here having to do with multiple versions of LOGIN.EXE on our campus internet. When I boot my workstation, unless I specify which server it should connect to, it may default to any of a number of servers on our backbone. When I then log in, I run the default servers copy of LOGIN. The problem occurs when I run a 2.X LOGIN to get to a 3.X server: the login script will not run. When you log in again, you are running the 3.X LOGIN instead, and all functions properly. Suggestions (if this is in fact the case) -- 1) specify a preferred server when you run NETx (command line would be NETx /ps=servername) 2) put the same copy of LOGIN.EXE on all servers on your internet (preferrably one that works :) Good luck! }lips ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eric N.
