Our Novell network exists of three 386 v3.1 servers and one v2.15 server, connected with some 50 PCs through Arcnet. We encounter problems when one of the PCs on the net crashes. When this happens, often our 386 server is stopped completely. It starts retrying to send packets to the crashed PC (the 'send packet retry count' starts incrementing about once a second). During that time, no communication is possible to the 386 server. The situation is solved by disconnecting the crashed PC or by reinitializing it. This problem did not occur with the 286 servers. Could someone give some information on the source of this problem, and maybe give some hints for a solution ? Thanks in advance, Marcel van Herk
