ABSTRACT. Table of Contents of ONR Asia Scientific Information Bulletin
Vol 16#1 (1991).

INTRODUCTION.
ONR's Scientific Information Bulletin (SIB) is a quarterly
publication presenting articles covering recent developments in Far
Eastern (particularly Japanese) scientific research. It is hoped that
these reports (which do not constitute part of the scientific literature)
will prove to be of value to scientists by providing items of interest
well in advance of the usual scientific publications. The articles are
written primarily by members of the staff of ONR Asia, with certain
reports also being contributed by visiting stateside scientists.
Occasionally, a regional scientist will be invited to submit an article
covering his own work, considered to be of special interest. This
publication is approved for official dissemination of technical and
scientific information of interest to the Defense research community and
the scientific community at large. A subscription is available free of
charge to approved members of the DOD scientific community and others in
the US. Non US scientists may obtain a subscription at nominal cost. For
subscription information, send a written request to: Director, Office of
Naval Research, Asian Office, APO San Francisco 96503-0007. For
information about particular articles write to SIB Editor at the address
above.

Many of the reports that I distribute electronically are also
published in SIB. Since I have been asked frequently about SIB I will try
to circulate a copy of its contents. The current issue contains a number
of reports of mine written during 1990. Please be aware that most other
articles are not available electronically and queries about them should
be addressed to the authors or to the SIB Editor.
