The Federation of Students is sponsoring a "teach-in" today on issues related to the Gulf war. [Editorial comment: Wouldn't it be nice if the Feds made information about this kind of thing available *in advance* to the Gazette, and thus to this newsgroup, which is a Gazette spinoff?] The event began about 10:00 in Fed Hall and is scheduled to run to 5 p.m., according to flyers posted around campus. At 11 a.m. there was a crowd of about 150 people on hand -- that is, the main floor of Fed Hall was pleasantly full, with nobody standing and everybody having a good view of the stage. Those present were listening with rapt attention to one of the three speakers seated on the platform, who was talking about attitudes to Saddam Hussein in Arab states other than Iraq.
