hammer@nisc.jvnc.net (Rochelle Hammer) (12/22/90)

Good afternoon. Wishes for a Happy and Healthy Holiday and New Year.

To the JvNCnet Regional Members:

The regularly scheduled JvNCnet Regional Meeting will be January 25,
1990 at the Computer Science Building (CS Bowl 105), William and
Olden Streets, Princeton University.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Nassau Inn, 1 Palmer Square
Princeton. I recommend making a reservation as soon as possible. Indicate
"NETWORK" to obtain the university rate of $95.00. Guarantee your room by
credit card for late arrival after 6:00pm. The hotel is about fifteen
minutes easy walking to the meeting location.

Nassau Inn local telephone: 609-921-7500
Toll free: 1-800-922-3432

Please let me know as soon as possible if you have any dietary requirements.

Travel by air: Princeton Airporter (609-587-6600, cost $18.00, Newark
Airport) to Nassau Inn. It is approx. 1.5 hr. trip.

Train: Closest station is Princeton Junction. Use "DINKY" commuter train at
Princeton Jct. to get to the Princeton train station. Taxis are always
available or take a nice 15 min. walk to the hotel.

Amtrak: 1-800-872-7245

Trenton train station: Taxi to the hotel is about 45 min. An alternative is
NJ Transit (1-800-772-2222) train to Princeton Jct. Then use the "Dinky" or
walk as indicated above.

Parking:

Muncipal: Palmer Square Parking Garage, 25 Chambers St.
Hulfish and Witherspoon St. parking (one block over from hotel)
Princeton Public Library lot: Witherspoon and Springs Sts.
           (Enter via Spring).

On-street*: Both metered and unmetered parking are available near
the Computer Science Bldg.(Olden and William Sts.) and adjacent
streets such as along the whole stretch of Prospect Avenue.

*I recommend this as preferred parking. Significant
construction in and adjacent to the Engineering Quadrangle presently
continues. At this writing, I do not know what available university parking
lot we will be permitted to use.

I will appreciate notification of your attendance as soon as possible.
This will help me to make in-advance preparations. The preferrable or
most convenient method is to send e-mail to hammer@nisc.jvnc.net.

Driving directions: I am using two focal points, Newark and Phila.
