Could someone enlighten me as to why NSS 17 was unreachable once
late afternoon on Friday and again early in the morning on Saturday?

Elise-

The two outages occured for different reasons.  Friday afternoons
was due to human error (tt # 10834).  Saturday mornings outage
occured when the RCP crashed and went into debug mode (tt # 10837).
