While compiling pcl on Vax Lisp 3.x here are some error messages about the following symbols having no-definition. Any suggestions on how to fix these will be highly appreciated. make-instance default-initargs allocate-instance initialize-instance shared-initialize make-wrapper inform-type-system-about-class I could get around these bugs by doing (defun *symbol* nil) (which is arbitrary). there is also a problem with system::set-svref where the argument is expected to be an array, which i could get around by arbitrarily defun-ing it. However, the following bug is persistent and I don't know how to proceed around it: (BOOTSTRAP-ACCESSOR-DEFINITIONS EQL-SPE ..UNBOUND-SLOT.. ..UNBOUND-SLOT..) the error is: argument ..UNBOUND-SLOT.. is not a list Thanks Murthy

Hi, My name is Sudipto and I am a graduate student at the Ohio State University. I have a few questions regarding PCL. We are looking for a inference system to implement an expert system to do Mechanical Synthesis. We were pointed to PCL by an U. Texas, Austin contact. I would like to obtain documentation on PCL to examine it. I believe it is public domain. I would appreciate if you point me to the public source and documentation for PCL. Thanks, and looking forward to your reply Sudipto Sudipto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sudipto Mukherjee Email: sudipto+@osu.edu Work Phone: (614) 292-9029 ; 292-2849 Home Phone: (614) 421-1399

Try talking to Arun Welch at LAIR. He's your local PCL/CLOS expert.

Subject: Time:4:36 PM OFFICE MEMO PCL Date:4/3/91 I just downloaded the tar version of the rainy day PCL rev 2. It works great. I have had problems getting the Docs to work through TeX. I really don't know how to use TeX, but I can't even get started TeXing the file mop.tex. Any suggestions? I am using two versions of TeX: one on a Sun4 the other is called OzTeX for the Macintosh. Both say that it is running TeX version 3.0.
