1) If you'd like deletion from the list, *please* don't send the request to commonloops@cis.ohio-state.edu. This sends it to the whole list. Yes, I'll see it that way, but it doesn't really do anyone else any good. Send it instead to commonloops-request@cis.ohio-state.edu. I try and take care of all requests at least twice a week, frequently more often. 2) I've put the sources to Skip Egdorf's enhanced version of etags for anonymous ftp on host nervous.cis.ohio-state.edu, directory pub/lispusers/clos. Anyone else wishing to contribute CLOS code (for example, the recent offers of instance-saving stuff) is welcome to do so, contact me for directions. If it's specific to one particular implementation (for example PCL), we can set things up appropriately. 3) Along the same lines as (1), please don't send requests for code to the whole list, but instead please reply directly to the author. 4) In case you haven't realised it yet, you should be sending messages to commonloops@cis.ohio-state.edu, not commonloops@xerox.com. Sending to commonloops@xerox.com will still work, but a) that'll probably go away someday b) there's really no need to add more work to Xerox's mailer c) you're adding at least one hop across country to the message, and if you're on the east coast, two. Your message will get delivered a lot faster if it gets here directly. ...arun Commonloops-request@cis.ohio-state.edu, your friendly list maintainer
