Hi. I'm currently working on a visualization project utilizing an IRIS-4D computer from SGI. Does anyone know where I can find some PD source for the Iris, or good technical books. Also, what do you know about various software development systems such as AVE, aPe, etc. Do any of these work on the Iris? I would be interested in any comments, suggestions, etc. on where I can find PD or shareware binaries for the Iris. Does anyone have comparison details on the various graphical platforms such as Stardent, SGI, Sparcstation, Personal Iris, etc.? My department is looking for an extension for the Iris-4d and currently they're thinking of a personal Iris, but if I can find a better platform which is compatible, they might change their minds.. Any comments on the color NeXT, A3000UX, anybody?
