I am trying to run apE 2.0 on a Sparc 1 running Sun OS 4.0.3. It appears (from the Release Notes) that the X11 R4 libraries are required. I do not have them, and the window manager seems to go crazy. PV Wave gets around this by requiring the user to explicitly declare that 128 colours should be used instead of 256. Is there any such option in apE 2.0? Any other way to get around this?
