Hello, I am working for a professor doing some image processing and need a software package for visual enhancement of pictures taken through a microscope, then passed through a page scanner onto an IBM PS/2 running MS/DOS or OS/2 in TIFF format. We have noticed that one or both sides of the picture will tend to warp or elongate and wish to cure this problem. The problem is compounded by the fact that we need to compare two images together to graphically display the differences. Therefore the images have to be as close to the actual thing as can be. I have thought of taking two pictures of the same item and then writing a program to analyze the warp, but this warp factor does not appear to be constant. Any software package, code, distributor, or reference suggested would be greatly appreciated. If you could also inform me briefly of how you have used the package, then the package applicability could be analyzed thoroughly. Thanks for any time and effort in this matter, John F.
