Ran this one ("echo 2^5000/2^5000 | /bin/time bc") on an RC6280
[ecl risc machine].  Load factor as reported by "uptime" was 1.4
when test was made.  Results were   4.0 real  2.8 user  0.0 sys.

For jollies, also ran it on a CMOS RISC machine 500 times and stored
the results.  Mean was 6.01 seconds, Std Dev was 310 milliseconds
(i.e. standard deviation was 5% of the mean).  {Same CPU chip and clock
freq as in the DECstation 5000 below.}  Does this mean anything at all?
doubtful.
