I'm in the process of showing some relative performance numbers across a number of systems used internally. Is there a known list of SPECmark results kicking around, outside of contacting SPEC, (or the vendors) independantly? The systems I am interested in are as follows: VAX 11/785 Sun2/120 Pyramid 9820 Sun3/80 Sun3/470 Sun IPC Sparc2 SGI Personal Iris SGI 4D220 VAXstation 2000 VAXstation 3100 (original model) VAX 8650 VAX 6340 (The last four items are running VMS, rather than UNIX. Is SPEC a portable benchmark suite, or is it specific to UNIX?) While I realize I can send a large check and get the source and run the SPECmark tests myself, I'm somewhat constrained for time and finances on this particular task, and accuracy is not that important, as it will be fine-tuned over time. Eventually, we may purchase the SPEC suite as well. I am familiar with Aim, Muusbus, and other benchmark service suppliers.
