It is generally conceded that RTE (remote terminal emulators) are superior to 'batch' benchmarks (eg. scripts that are read from standard-in on the same machine that is running the benchmark): RTEs don't load the system down with testing overhead. Does anyone have any experience, numbers, rules of thumb that indicate *how different* RTE results are from batch? Are we talking about small percents or order of magnitude differences? tnx. jb.
