[net.test] Automatic messages? What messages?

mcb@k.cs.cmu.edu (Michael Browne) (05/16/86)

I've heard a rumor that some sites send automatic responses to articles
posted on net.test. Can anyone confirm this?

Seriously, I've posted here and haven't received anything. We're also
losing tons of news, so perhaps the loss is both ways. Therefore, this
article really IS a test! (How bizarre.)

                            I'm down again
And I don't know how to tell you
But maybe this time I can't come back
Because I might be too far down

Yes; I receive about 5-6 on the average every time I post something...
(in this case I don't care, since I won't be around when I get the test
echoes, though I WILL have to do a lot of mail deletion come September....
and a summer's worth of Bizarre-People should make interesting reading...)
