[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Problems with MS C SDK libraries

oreillyj@ul.ie (11/30/90)

I have just installed the MS C SDK for windows and alas have a problem.
...I can't link to 'libw.lib'. I thought it was a simple problem
initially but it appears that the there are problems with the file. Has
anyone had this problem - if not I'd greatly appreciate a copy of an 'ok'
version. I could go through Microsoft but I'd hate to guess how long that
would take. Any help appreciated.

are you using the correct version of the linker? The banner should
read "Segment Executable Linker 5.10" or some such. You might be
using an old linker that came with your DOS.
