[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Windows SDK and MS C 5.1

bieniekb@nixsin.UUCP (Beate Bieniek) (12/19/90)

We ordered the Windows 3.0 SDK quite a while ago, but we have not received
it yet :-(. Anyway, at our development site we only have the Microsoft C
compiler Version 5.1. Does anybody know, if this version is compatible
with the Windows SDK or if we need to order Microsoft C Version 6.0 in
addition? Just to avoid the big surprise when it finally arrives.....8-o

Furthermore, is DOS 4.0 or later only a recommended or a mandatory development
environment :-/ (got kind of confused when reading Windows Programming by
Murray and Pappas)?

Please reply directly to me as these questions may not be of general
interest.

Thanks in advance,

- Beate
