Regarding the problem discovered with the MKPRN program. It turns out that for some reason the expansion script provided by MS to expand the files delivered with the DDK did NOT expand all of the files. This was not readily apparent when reviewing the code with debug (usually you can see that letters are missing from the words and all). It wasn't until I installed the MS C compiler and used the regular CodeView that I was told the file was non-executable. Apparently every executable in this directory was skipped by the expansion program (arghh!). Having gone back and run the expansion program on the executables, I am now able to use MKPRN in the manner in which it is supposed to be used. A further note: Regarding the use of Word Perfect with a Star NX-1000 printer (WP5.1)... Discovered that the configuration file which Word Perfect created for the Star NX-1000 has misspecified the CR/LF and you wind up just getting line feeds between the lines in the file, which of course looks like heck. In order to use the printer with WP, I had to configure for a different Star printer, which, of course, means some of the functionality of the NX-1000 is not readily available. If anyone out here has a spec on the format of the WP printer configuration files, please zap me a copy so's maybe I can fix the CR/LF problem myself. Thank you, Bj Haglind AGFA Compugraphic
