[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Is the new edition of Programming Windows out yet ?

tmottonen@cc.helsinki.fi (12/20/90)

Is the new edition (the one that covers Windows 3 too) of
"Programming Windows" by Charles Petzold already out ? I ha-
ven't been able to find it over here in Finland. If it is,
any ideas where I could mail order it ? Directly from Micro-
    soft Press maybe ?

    Thanks,
    Teemu.

At least 3 copies have been sold in Atlanta, GA, USA. Oxford Bookstore
(our local "if it is not stocked elsewhere" bookstore) has them.
Other stores in town report that their distributors have just or are about
to receive them. Good luck.

It is out, and readily available in the USA, at least. Below find what
information I could get from the book itself:

"Programming Windows:
the Microsoft Guide to writing applications for Windows 3, 2nd Edition"
Charles Petzold
Microsoft Press, Redmond WA 1990
Harper & Row, USA distributors, New York
ISBN 1-555-15264-7
suggested price $29.95

"The Authorized Edition" quote-unquote

Canadian Distributors: Canada General Publishing Company, Ltd.

Outside USA and Canada:

	Penguin Books
	Harmondsworth, Middlesex, England

	Penguin Books Australia Ltd,
	Ringwood, Victoria, Australia

	Penguin Books New Zealand Ltd
	182-190 Wairou Road
	Auckland 10, New Zealand

My advice would be try to get it ordered through a local quality computer
book seller first. If you get desperate, try ordering it directly from
MS Press, below. Also, from MS Press you can get the companion discs for
$29.95 + $5.50 US shipping and handling. If ordering from outside the
US I'd think the easiest thing to do would be to use a Visa or MasterCard
number so that proper shipping and handling can be added.
