[comp.windows.ms.programmer] AUX

Actually, the AUX is supposed to be a serial text device. It is one of the
five standard streams taken from UNIX, and is supposed to be redirectible.
the thing is, I have never (except for writing a device driver to take over DOS'
(mis)handling of the device) been able to get it to go to anything other than
com1:.	Big problem. My modem is on Com1:. My serial terminal is on Com2:.
Any help?

Also, Is anyone else out there using a modem on Com1: with the debugging version
of windows? I have noticed a strange thing when you use this setup. Windows
debug *ALWAYS* (without fail) sets my modem to auto answer whenever it starts
up. This is VERY ANNOYING. It means that I must physically disconnect the
modem whenever I am not using it, or it will answer the phone for me. Nice of
it, but its squeal is not as polite as I would like from an answering machine...
