I've been having a slight memory problem. BC++ shows it doesn't have any Extended or Expanded memory, but the PIF I setup for it should give it 1M each. Any ideas what's wrong? I have 2M memory, with a 4M swap file. Before I run BC++ Windows shows 3.5M free. Without some Extended or Expanded memory compiles can take forever...

Are you running in 386 Enhanced mode or Standard mode? I run in standard mode (no choice on a 286 machine) with 2MB extended memory. I run TKERNEL HI=YES KILOS=1024 before entering windows. Then I set up BCX to run as a non-Windows application (i.e., DOS using COMMAND.COM). When I look at Get Info it says I have 916K of free memory, 0 extended, 0 expanded. From what I understand TKERNEL takes care of interfacing with the XMS driver to provide all the memory it can. --- Barry L.
