[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Borland C++ without SDK

flo@doitcr.doit.sub.org (Florian Reichl) (03/03/91)

Is is possible to develop Windows 3.0 applications with TC++ and without the
SDK or is it nonsense to buy TC++ without the SDK?

Thanks,		-- Florian

You do not need the SDK to develop windows 3.0 applications with
borland C++. You may want to buy some of microsoft press's books that
would normally come with the SDK because BC++ only documents the SDK
functions on-line.

One more time: yes it is possible to develop Windows applications with
BC C++ 2.0. The only thing extra that you'll need is a good book on Windows
programming (I have Petzold's which I like).

I would recommend that you start with BC C++ 2.0 and only get the SDK later
if you need it.
