[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Getting BC++ to work?

gt3070b@prism.gatech.EDU (Jeff Watkins) (03/16/91)

What does it take to get Borland C++ to compile existing MSC code?
I am trying to recompile certain portions of our code to see if BC++ will make
a significant improvement over the snail like MSC.  Personally I use zortech;
but, the boss would like to use borland for internal use, and then churn the
code through MSC for release.
Rewriting any code is not an option. Changing pragma is okay. Yes I have
changed cmd line switches to compile dlls, and my make file is correct (i think)
So what to I do?
What do I tell em? That yes you can check your syntax with borland in 2.20min
as compared to MSC 6.51min. But your code may (and will usually) UAE.

ciao
jeff

ps. if it makes a difference I was compiling the window class library for Ami
as well as the Memory management library.
