Does anybody know what future plans are for BC++? (Yes, I know it only just arrived!). I would like to program for windows, especially using C++ ...but I would be using it for interest rather than as part of my current job, and $350+ for tinkering around is hard to justify. Do these kind of things usually come down in price after a while? I'm reluctant to by cut-down, reduced feature things - as you usually end up having to buy add-ons at a premium later on. Also, is it true that future releases will be more closely integrated into the windows environment? The other thing that I would be interested in would be pre-defined objects for windows, etc., etc.. I used to write code for an windowing environment which seem quite Obj. Oriented consideing that it was written in C, and found it an enjoyable and productive environment to write for. Although this may take some of the tinkering interest out, from what I can gather there would still be plenty of things learn & experiment with...and I think some of the more experienced windows hackers would prob. make a better job of the basic objects than somebody new to the environment.
