[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Script for installing Windows 3.0 on top of Sun PC-NFS

daavid@bohra.cpg.oz.au (Daavid Turnbull) (04/02/91)

In playing with various configurations for running windows on top of
Sun's PC-NFS I can either get windows to hang the machine at startup
or when I attempt to access a network drive. The problem would
appear to be hardware specific as it has not manifested itself on
other dos box's running the same software on the same network.

Has anyone developed a script that would allow a (relatively) trouble
free installation of Windows 3 with PC-NFS. Any documented experiences
forwarded to me would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that there is a recent release of PC-NFS that is meant to be
more windows aware, (3.5?). It is not currently available in oz. Does
it make this combination less painful? Any feedback on this product
	would also be appreciated.

Useful replies, if any, will be compostited in a future news artical.

	Thanks in advance ... daavid
