Lately (more than usual), people seem to be confusing the "post
a followup article" news command with the "reply to author via
mail" news command. Articles that begin with phrases like "You
still haven't replied to my reply to your reply to my flame
of...." and "Mark, you idiot, can't you see the point even when
I...." are so very annoying because I (for one) can't possibly
know to whom they are addressed or what the adressee was
flaming about in the first place.
So *please*, have the courtesy to send mail directly to the
person in question. If that's impossible (hee hee) or the reply
is of overwhelming general interest (like this), please
*briefly* recap the flame in question so that the feable of
memory and the new to the newsgroup can figure out why you're
foaming at the mouth so.
