[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Data segment in Windows?

enzerinkp@topaz.ucq.edu.au (04/28/91)

I seem to have missed something along the way here. Aren't windows applications
in standard and enhanced mode supposed to have access to all available memory?
From what I can see in the books, I'm still limited to a 1mb data segment. I
need more memory but I don't really want to have to use more elaborate memory
management routines.

I'm porting an application from a UNIX platform and it expects a few contiguous
megs of memory. Any comments?

Regards Peter
