[comp.windows.ms.programmer] WinExec of COMMAND.COM SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED

kevin@msa3b.UUCP (Kevin P. Kleinfelter) (04/29/91)

I'm trying to do the following:

  WinExec ("C:\\command.com /c dir", SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED);

(Actually, I'm trying something more convoluted, but similar.)
The problem is that I get a DOS COMMAND icon, but it is NOT maximized.
Furthermore, I am running in standard mode, so my DOS command is not
executed until I click on the ICON.

How can I get WinExec to run a command.com session in the foreground
in standard mode?
