Hello: I just found out from Infoworld that Actor 3.1 had been announced. I wonder how many of you who took the $99.0 offer in March actually received 3.1? My package (v3.01) was invoiced 3/29/91. Anybody knows about the upgrade policy? (Another $99.0? B-)) What's the difference between 3.0 and 3.1? The Actor Professional contains Object Graphics (according to IW) and costs $249.00 (Still no Resource Tool Kit but since I got that from BC++, don't really care.) I heard someone is trying to start a mailing list. Can you send me the email address please? Thanks advance for the help, Brian. Anyway, you can upgrade to Actor 3.1 professional for $195. The upgrade comes with ObjectGraphics, ObjectWindows and the WRT. According to the propaganda, "With Actor 3.1, we've enhanced Actor's support for Windows DLL's, and also improved support for accessing db_Vista and Btrieve databases." I'm wondering if the people that just bought it for $99 can can even a better price. Probably not, they probably sold it for $99 to get a lot of people hooked and then sell them the upgrade. If you have purchased either the WRT or ObjectGraphics already, you can upgrade for only $125. Such a deal. Anyway, my question to you Actor people out there is this: Is it worth the upgrade to get ObjectGraphics and ObjectWindows. I was going to buy the WRT (or buy BC++ to get it) anyway, and ObjectGraphics sounds good, but I would like to hear from someone who has used it. Any and all opinions welcome of course.
