[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Borland IDE vs OS/2 DOS LAN Requestor 1.3

kevin@msa3b.UUCP (Kevin P. Kleinfelter) (05/06/91)

Is anyone using the Borland C++ IDE and OS/2 DOS LAN Requestor 1.3?
When I have the "net start" in my autoexec, the IDE seems to lock the
machine after a few iterations of edit/make/test.
When I do not have "net start", things seem OK.

The presence of the drivers in CONFIG.SYS does not seem to cause the IDE
any problems, but the net start sure does. This is a real drag for me,
because the application I'm developing uses Sybase, and the data is on
an OS/2 server, and my PC is a DOS requestor. Note that I am NOT testing
my app with the services of Sybase yet. The IDE locks up without
USING the LAN Requestor.

"Its" & "their" are like 'his'. "They're" == "they are." "It's" == "it is."
