I have always been interested in ham radio, even to the point some years ago of becoming proficient in Morse code. I am not a wizard with electronics, although I can read schematics so long as they don't have anything to do with tubes. I would like to be able to dabble with 2-meter gear, and maybe have some fun with long-distance stuff. I've read a couple of the ham license manuals (old ones). My question is this: I would like to get a Tech license. Do I have a long way to go? Will I be forced to learn anything substantial about RF? What's the easiest route for me to pursue? I've wanted to do this for years, but could never figure out the best way. Any help people could provide would be welcomed. Thanks, Rick
