Has any ham or shortwave listener out there picked up broadcasts from Radio Venceremos, the radio of the rebels in El Salvador? If so, time and frequency information would be greatly appeciated. -Andy Berman, WD9EMZ, 312-979-6141

I tried to "Reply" to this message asking about Radio Venceremos, but the system told me it didn't like the address AFTER I had typed the text! (As someone who has been using ARPANET electronic mail for 6 years now, tI have troble accepting such system behavior with good grace...it didn't even seem to save my text anywhere! Sloppy design...) Anyway, here's the data: Glenn Hauser's DX News segment on Radio Canada International's Shortwave Listener's Digest reported the following recent data on Radio Venceremos: Heard on two parallel frequencies varying over the ranges 6850-6853 kHz and 6950-6953 kHz during the time range 0050-0249 GMT (one report was for 0050-0149, and the other for 0249 alone). Varying frequencies to avoid music jammers mainly on 6850 and 6955 kHz. 73's and good DX! Will Martin
