[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Alt keys in Dialog Boxes

ghenniga@nmsu.edu (Gary Hennigan) (06/02/91)

I'm trying to get a listbox within a Dialog Box to respond to the
Alt+<key> to put focus on the list box. This particular list box contains a
list of files in the current directory. I've defined a static text field
directly above it with "&Files". When I press Alt+F it sends my Dialog
procedure a WM_COMMAND message with wParam -> IDCANCEL, not exactly what I had
in mind. This is probably covered in the Win. Prog. Guide but I just shelled
out $70 for Petzold and the Ref. so I'll have to hold off on the Guide.
If someone can assist me and needs more details let me know and I'll
e-mail the details to you.

Thanks tremendously!
