The way the commercial's are in Illinois is this A regular Burger King hamburger weighs 20% more than a MacDonald's hamburger! It doesn't say anything about Big Mac's or Whopper's. Russ Sehnoutka BTL - IW ihps3!ihuxb!genesis

Whoa!!!!! I really couldn't care less about thhe Whopper vs. Big Mac debate, but just because thhe Whopper shrinks more should not lead you to the conclusion thaat it has more fat in it! The whole point of Burger King's ads is thaat they broil their burgers, so they retain less fat, and so are less greasy than fried or grilled burgers. So of course they shrink more! Sheesh! One more thing, you signed your note "Have it your way". Since you work for BTL, shouldn't that be "Have it OUR way"? But enough of this on net.general Wm Leler - UNC Chapel Hill

What everybody fails to see is that while the Big Mac has less meat, it also costs less than the Whopper. Ounce for ounce, I think it works out to a slightly better buy for the Big Mac (at least here in Madison, WI). The Big Mac has 1/5 lb meat while the Whopper has 1/4 lb meat. Of course, perhaps there are extra goodies on one and not the other; I'm not a fan of either sandwich. Rick Lindsley uwvax!rodolf

The commercials I have seen also compare the REGULAR hamburgers of McDonald's and Burger King. Apparently their commercial has mislead many into extending this comparison to Big Macs and Whoppers. The collector of votes: Avadis Tevanian, Jr. (Avie)
