[comp.windows.ms.programmer] Problem compiling original VGA driver

weber@dia.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de (Gerhard Weber) (06/05/91)

Has anybody successfully used the VGA driver source in the DDK?
I am working on a modification of the VGA device driver that comes
with the DDK so that it can coexists with a Braille display. While the
CGA driver compiles fine, the original VGAdriver that comes with the
DDK causes Windows to crash after the logo has been displayed (on an
IBM PS/2-70).

With symdeb I get the messages:
GDI!_FONTLOAD=9477 freed
GDI!_INIT=967d freed
Programm terminated normally (0)

Is this a known bug in the VGA driver? Has anybody access to source
code of a working (standard resolution) VGA driver or knows where to
buy one?
