[I shot the line eater] Ok, for a project I'm working on I need to use the database capabilities of AmigaVision. I also require that the language (DBMS) be relational. Nowhere in the AmigaVision manual does it come right out and say that the database used is realational and not a 'flat-file' type. Clues to it's 'relationalness' would be found in the fact that it could do joins between tables or cartesian products. This is also not mentioned anywhere in the manual. Can any of you folks help me out on this? Is the database in AmigaVision relational or flat-file? Thanks for your time. ==Brett

Well, if you take a closer look at the AV manuals you will see that it can have up to 10 different datafiles open at a time. Couple that with the fact that its YOU who is programming the database functions and 'YES' its relational. I have my own little question for all you AV guru's out there, how da heck do you use arrayed variables in AV? (Its gotta be there somewhere, I'm just blind) --------------------------------------- | patrick_meloy@outbound.wimsey.bc.ca | | 'The Outbound' BBS Vancouver BC | ---------------------------------------
